It was two small orings, one on each oil pick up, in the sump. These were dry and hard and not sealing as they should and allowing air to pass and putting aerated oil in the injector rail. Not easy to see on the diagnostics but confirmed by overfilling your sump will oil and then if you see an immediate change in engine performance its a good chance that is your problem.
